client:

Wexford County Council

brief:

Wexford County Council commissioned us to design wall graphics in their Planning Department. We needed to ensure that the whole county was equally represented. The spaces had different functions and audiences but needed to be relevant and work together as a collective. Part of the brief was to liaise with a printer to produce and install the graphics and to work with their internal team on the messaging.

solution:

After spending some time walking through and reviewing the spaces and walls, 6 key areas were identified as benefiting from well considered wall graphics. The outcome uses a series of black and white survey maps or locations all around County Wexford. We incorporated the Wexford County Council colour palette and some key messaging that was relevant to the space whether that was a meeting room, an entrance or the customer area. Templates for TV signage in the main customer area where created with the same look and feel.

The beautiful images of Vinegar hill and the panoramic image of Wexford Town were photographed by Brian McDonald.

We engaged PixelPod to create and install a series of informative and interesting wall designs in our offices at the Planning Department in Wexford County Council. The walls, until then , were a blank canvas painted in white and providing no interest or information to either staff or customers.

The objective of these colourful wall features was to present visually, to staff and visiting customers, what we do in the various sections of the Planning Department and to provide this information in an eye catching way. The resulting wall designs have been very well received by both staff working in the Department and by customers visiting our offices.

PixelPod really helped us to tease out the messages we wished to present on the wall designs and worked with us to draft and finalise the designs and images right through to installation.

As always, PixelPod were great to work with from start to completion of this project.
